Charles Smith

American VET MRO Leader

Charles Smith is an operating executive, U.S. Army veteran, and business leader with more than 15 years of experience leading complex organizations across the military and private sector.

Charles began his military career in 2005 by enlisting in the Virginia Army National Guard as a 13B Cannon Crewmember, motivated by a deep commitment to serving his country. He commissioned as an Army officer in 2008 and served more than seven years overseas, including a combined 21 months of deployed service supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Spartan Shield. Throughout his military career, he led Soldiers in demanding operational environments while gaining extensive experience in logistics, operations, strategic planning, and organizational leadership.

Following his military service, Charles held leadership positions at Amazon before transitioning into executive operations leadership, where he has earned a reputation for driving operational excellence, building high-performing teams, and implementing scalable business systems that improve efficiency and accelerate growth. His leadership philosophy is rooted in servant leadership, accountability, continuous improvement, and developing people to reach their full potential.

Charles holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Hampton University and an MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas.
